2014: Intentional, Joyful, Awesome

My 2013 was characterized by a lot of transition (moving from Brooklyn to Richmond, taking on more responsibility at my day job, feeling more and more like an actual photographer). Now, I don't usually make New Year's Resolutions, per se (because those are so often forgotten by February), but this year I'm picking three words to use as inspiration and guidance throughout the coming year. Those words are: Intentional, Joyful, and Awesome.

- Intentional: This means being thoughtful, careful, and less impulsive about my decisions and my actions. It also means setting aside time for things I rarely make time for now: alone time, cooking, etc. I'm also going to try to only take on clients/projects that I really care about.

- Joyful: This means appreciating the happy moments and happy things in my life, and embracing the wonders of my city, my [chosen] family, and my world. Smiling and laughing instead of sniping and fighting. Choosing joy over other emotions, when I can.

- Awesome: Doing all I can to manifest love and awesome...and hoping I get some in return!

What are your words to live by in 2014?
